Hello, I Am Martin Howley.
Martin’s story is one of strength, transformation, and hope.
Ten years ago, while raising money for people going through cancer, Martin shared his personal journey with Andrew Baxter. After hearing it, Andrew urged him to write a book — not for fame, but to help others find light through their darkest times.
Since then, Martin’s story has reached people through TV, radio, podcasts, and newspapers. Everywhere he went, the message was the same: You need to share this in a book.
This book is Martin’s answer to that call.

This book is dedicated to my beautiful mum, Claire — a woman of quiet strength, unwavering love, and selfless devotion. Through every challenge life threw my way — from serious illness to emotional lows and the heartbreaking loss of my partner Heidi — she was always there. She supported me without question, never seeking recognition, only wanting to see me stand again. Her presence gave me the courage to keep going when I had nothing left. I owe so much of who I am to her. Though she’s no longer with us, her love continues to guide me every day. She is deeply missed and will never be forgotten.
